I just bought this Benelli 250 2C two-stroke frame for an as-yet-unnamed future project. Total cost from Ebay, with shipping, was under $100. This came from the same vendor as the KTM GS80 frame that I recently acquired.

After discovering some of the odd and challenging characteristics of the KTM frame, I was attracted to this frame’s conventional configuration: long-ish engine bay, wide downtube spacing, horizontal seat tubes, narrow waist, and separate steering bearing cups.

It’s actually quite similar to a Yamaha RD frame. That may not only make procuring bodywork easier, but it might suit an RZ/Banshee engine, and I happen to know of a freshly rebuilt example that’s waiting for a project to power.
