The Aermacchi-Ducati marriage is still little more than a conceptual exercise at this point, but I’ve started playing around with it. I purchased wheels and a set of “dummy” Ducati engine cases, just to see if my basic concept would work.
The wheels and front end are Suzuki because I already had a set of ’83 GS750E forks. (I had accidentally purchased them for Bultakenstein when I intended to get ’82 MY forks.)
It turns out that the engine will have to sit slightly higher in the frame than I had originally envisioned, but I don’t see any real show-stoppers so far.
