I’d like a bit more leeway in wheel/swingarm alignment. To do that, I want to modify the EX500 wheel’s sprocket carrier. Stock, the assembly looks like this:

I plan to turn down the outer face of (shown in green). Unfortunately, reducing the width would reduce the height of the bore that the rubber seal sits in. I see no reason why I can’t lose the seal (blue) completely and replace the open bearing (orange) with a double rubber sealed bearing, as shown below.
