A metal scrapper came and picked up the Ducati engine and spare crankcase this evening.
I tried advertising the remainder of the HD-Aermacchi as a rolling chassis, but I couldn’t find an Aermacchi aficionado interested in building one with modern cast wheels and disk brakes. I think that would be righteous in its own right.
As a result, the Suzuki wheels and front end came off and went back into the Strategic Parts Reserve. I have the SS-350 frame listed on Craigslist for $50.
I have too many projects, and this was the most frustrating and least desirable to me. It’s somewhat liberating to just have it just cease to be.
