I’ve been yearning for a Montesa Rápita (a roadster-ized King Scorpion) for over a year now, but they only built 600 of them, so that’s not going to happen.
Since the chance of me owning one is so small, I guess I’ll have to build one of my own. I bought this ’74 King Scorpion frame from Flashback Enterprises, a reputable vendor I’ve purchased from a number of times. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the bargain the screenshot might suggest. The shipping cost was a real killer; it ended up totalling a skosh over $300 once shipping and tax was added—quite a bit more than I’ve paid for frames in the past.
