The Shin San Tong frame is fully de-tabbed, and I’m continuing to sand and strip. What a time suck. Refinishing surfaces is my least favorite project task. Say what you might about the early ’70s Taiwanese build quality, but they damn sure knew how to paint ’em right. Nothing less aggressive than 60 grit takes this stuff off, and there’s almost no corrosion under it. It even stood up to aircraft stripper pretty well.
