I finished machining the adapters for the rear engine mounts, then drilled and tapped the hex cross bar at the front.
The right-side bolt had to be countersunk, because the base of the engine will sit on that area of the plate.
You can see where I had to use a Dremel tool to clearance the front engine mounting holes slightly. They ended up being too far to the rear by about a millimeter.

Once I had the engine bolted in, I had to align and tension the primary chain. I discovered that the tension adjusters I had created for the jackshaft are a huge hassle to adjust once the engine is in place, since they are located inboard of the pillow blocks. They work properly, however, giving me nice, predictable steps of adjustment.
Next up is fabricating a primary chain guard. I will also have an improved option for footpegs; these are currently much too closely mounted.
