I made a brake anchor the Benelli’s front wheel using an old alloy rear brake stay I’ve had for a while. (I seem to recall it being a Bultaco part, but its origin is a bit foggy at this point.) I chopped one end and rounded it off, bent it in a vice, then drilled it for an 8mm bolt.

I reversed the orientation of the Kawasaki EL250 forks, moving the caliper mounts to the front left. I cut off the lower mount, and partially bored out the upper one so I could countersink a socket-head bolt. I don’t think the result looks too out-of-place for an old-timey bike.
