I have shaped the Bride’s rear caliper bracket. The bottom arm looks a bit skinny, but it is 1/2″ thick, so I can’t imagine it breaking. The tiny M6 rod end for the torque link is definitely too wimpy, however. I will order a couple of 10mm spherical joints.

I had to make a spacer on the lathe to position the caliper properly, but it all looks like it lines up properly.

I cut alloy plate using an aluminum-cutting blade in my miter saw. I am amazed at how nicely this arrangement can slice through thick aluminum. I then drilled the holes on my drill press and smoothed the edges manually on a 1″ bench sander, so the result looks a bit more hand-hewn than I would like. But, like everything else on this bike, if it’s functional, that’s good enough.
